Raul Fernandez is the Program Director of Wellness Center South and identifies as a Peer. He lives with depression, anxiety, and has addiction in his history. Raul is a surviving family member of someone that has died by suicide, Raul and his family lost his older brother to suicide in 2015. Raul has been grateful to find acceptance in the Wellness Center South community and feels honored to be in recovery while serving the members receiving mental health recovery services in Orange County.

Huy Tran is the Data Analyst for the Wellness Center South & Central. He has completed his master’s degree in Biostatistics in 2021. He has worked in the field of healthcare and research for more than 5 years. Huy’s job is to apply the power of numbers and statistics to the program and further improve our services.

Zakia Bashir is the Operations Manager at Wellness Center South. Zakia moved to the United States in 2014 from Afghanistan and pursued her higher education at Norco College and Fullerton University. Zakia is passionate about her job because she embodies Clarvida mission of improving the lives of people by inspiring personal growth, health and wellness. Zakia is committed to the success of Wellness Center South which is fueled by her compassion to help individuals living with a mental health challenge.

Jason Stentz is the Team Lead at WCS. He has struggled with dyslexia, anxiety and depression. He wasn’t diagnosed with anxiety or depression until well into adulthood. With the support of family and friends, he was able to finish high school and untimely graduate from college. While working for a job coaching agency, he was fortunate enough to discover Wellness Center Central. He made connections, participated in groups and became part of a real community. After starting the career as a Lead Peer Specialist at Wellness Center Central, Jason is excited to be the first Team Lead at Wellness Center South

Nathan Green is the Employment & Education Specialist. He went to UC Berkeley and has worked in education and the non-profit world for over 20 years. Throughout that time, he has helped people define and accomplish their employment and educational goals. He loves working at Wellness Center South.

Alex Guevara is currently working as Lead Peer Specialist at Wellness Center South. She has been a part of the Behavioral Health Field since October 17,2017. Alex is a certified Peer Specialist. She joined this field because she wanted to make a difference in the community since the community and my family helped her become the person she is today. Alex was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), ADHD, and a recovering addict. Her recovery journey is an ongoing process but one that she enjoys very much.

Chelsea Tedeschi is the Office Assistant at Wellness Center South. She is honored and grateful to be part of such a wonderful team, working at a center focused on inclusivity for all. It is a blessing for Chelsea to be working in an environment which fosters growth, support and healing and she values being able to come to work every day and help in any way she can.

Shannon Ferrell is the Peer Specialist Driver at Wellness Center South. Shannon is a former Army Airborne Ranger and combat Veteran. Shannon brings to the table many diversified skills and much knowledge on many different topics and learned experiences he’s encountered in his life. Shannon is truly a people person at heart and loves to interact with and get to know the members at WCS. Shannon is always ready to meet the challenges of the day and take on any task and help the members at WCS feel comfortable, safe and welcomed either in groups or while on daily excursions.

Dax (They/Them/Their) has lived experience with mental health conditions and has been to support groups from Intensive Outpatient Programs, so they decided they wanted to give back to the community and become a Medi-Cal Certified Peer Specialist. Dax enjoys talking to others and helping them on the road to recovery. They also enjoy working with members through art and music groups. Dax appreciates that the Wellness Center encourages members to share their stories and grow together as a community to no longer feel alone in their personal journey’s.
